IGOR KOVALIK ]

Born in the former Czechoslovakia and raised in Toronto, Kovalik studied film at NYU and eventually settled in Los Angeles editing at Rock, Paper, Scissors.

In 1997 he opened up his own editing company that eventually became Beast Editorial. Under Kovalik’s management Beast grew into one of the largest commercial editorial companies in the USA with offices in LA, New York, San Francisco, Austin, Chicago, Detroit and Atlanta.  Beast’s award-winning work touched a huge portion of the US advertising market and has serviced virtually every top brand and advertising agency in the country; including Apple, BMW, Google, Mercedes Benz and Verizon.

 

Since selling his interest in Beast to Deluxe Media, Kovalik’s focus has primarily been on content-creation and documentary work. He has travelled around the world shooting and creating content for the United Nations, Genesis Motors, Apple, FCA, Harper’s Bazaar, Princess Cruises, ESPN, NFL, Moet Chandon, INTEL and the Country Music Association to name just a few.

In 2017 Kovalik won an Emmy Award for a campaign he co-created for the Detroit Pistons. The Campaign also received top honors winning the 2016 NBA Marketing Award as selected by the other teams.

 

Most recently Kovalik directed/edited two seasons of The Genesis Halftime Show for ESPN Monday Night Football through TheBridge.co.

 

Along with his Branded clients, Kovalik has been active in the music video industry having worked with Pink, Shakira, REM, and The Black Eyed Peas among others. He has been a creative collaborator with Linkin Park since 2007.

 

Kovalik has worked on numerous long-form projects, He’s worked with Oprah Winfrey and Harpo Films on multiple films as well as HBO’s LUCK with director Michael Mann. Kovalik also just recently completed a documentary for the United Nations tracking the 2018 Ebola Outbreak in the DRC.

 

Kovalik has won numerous Clios, MTV Music Video Awards, Cannes Lions and an Emmy.
